Senator Dodd has a distinguished record representing Connecticut, "the Constitution State" in the US Senate.
He continues the tradition of those brave Connecticut Sons before him, who drafted, and signed by name, The Bill of Rights, and the Constitution, and of of those sons who have since fought, and died in defense of those documents.

He should be commended on his call for corporate conscience in support of his position opposing unconstitutional domestic communications intelligence gathering and net neutrality.

The Good Senator however, casts a haze over the the question of why the House and Senate have been compliant, and continue the Republican agenda of the past.

He continues the notion that the past election was about the war in Iraq.

The American People came out in record numbers to voice their opinion that there was more on their minds than just the "War in Iraq".

This Administration has put the US Military in a 'War without end" predicament.
Where are the Voices of those recently elected persons demanding the accountability of the Executives responsible for lying to the American People, and fixing the reasons for starting a preemptive War?

Command Officers have been, and are being replaced because they won't agree to continuing bad military policy.
Retired Field Grade Officers, in addition to Ret. Gen. Murtha, have been outspoken in their opposition to continued to use of the Military in the manner of the past three years.

Never before have such Officers come forward in unison and in numbers, in opposition, to a war policy.

We saw the news of the First Hundred Hours of the new Congress. All well and good, but for the most part, this consisted of hot button items. There are far more pressing issues.
Certainly the new Congress must respond to the call of the people, and do more than walk, and chew gum at the same time. The very reason they were elected was to remove that corrupt environment, and repair the damage done.

The American People voted for more than a change in the way the war was being prosecuted.
Their Vote clearly reflected the rejection of bold faced assaults on the Constitution, Corruption, Influence Pedaling, failure of the economy, and overall failure of the government under this Administration, to protect the public interest, and person.

Questions must be asked and accountability addressed. The list of questions is long regarding abuses by this President and his Office.

The sincere questioning by the audience members speaks to how most of us Americans feel right now, all while the "world" on the tee-vee is Brittany's implosion and drug-abusing athletes, and demand to know why NOTHING seems to be getting done in D.C..

I realize this was a corporate setting and a polite crowd, but I sure felt the vibe that the big "I" word about Cheney, and even Bush, was wanting to be asked. The crimes and lies of the current White House are far too great for 'politics' to handle it. We need investigations on the illegal activities of these two men LONG before they creep out of office in '09.

I respect Sen. Dodd's straightforwardness about the issues, but I have become rather tired of Democratic politeness on illegal occupations and Constitutional crimes against the people of this nation. When Chris Dodd positively addresses these needed inquiries, he then gets my money and my vote.
