Senator Dodd appeared on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" tonight to talk about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and the implications for US policy.

I hope that this tragic event attracts attention to Sen. Dodd´s excellent qualifications and experience which are head-and-shoulders above all other candidates on either side. We can´t afford any bungeling of foreign policy in the world, we have no more "second chances". I personally have been focusing my attention only upon the leading candidates these past months. Not anymore. Qualities of leadership come forth in crisis, and it is now clear to me who has them.
THANK YOU! Thank you so much for your comments following the death of Benazir Bhutto. You are the ONLY ONE talking sense. The elections SHOULD NOT take place on January 8th. I am all for Pakistani democracy, but now that the most popular person in the PPP has been assassinated the elections would not be fair even if they are carried out. Holding off for 3 months until the PPP can find another suitable candidate will not hurt democracy at all, if anything, it will show the Pakistani people the elections are far more legitimate, because they are fair.
So many other candidates can say how they knew her and how they were talking to Musharraf on the phone but you are on the foreign relations committee and that can push you further ahead in the coming week than any of them.
I am a conservative republican who is slowly becoming a fan...keep up the good work.
Senator Dodd's insight and experience during this tragic and dangerous moment has brought him forward as the strongest, wisest, and most viable Democratic candidate for the presidency. The time has arrived for America to take notice.
Maybe I will think of a better opening in my next post. I have been staring at this text box for a while now trying to think of a balance between anger, frustration, and hope. Something about a silver lining and dark clouds but I just don't know.
My comment is simply this. After the 9/11 attacks I found my best source of answers for what had happened in the 9/11 commission's report, which I read cover to cover. Many people have claimed to read it and it seems an even greater number of people have claimed to embrace it. The one person that I find most embodies the central message from that report is Chris Dodd. He is the one person who seems to have a grasp on just how complicated, and dangerous, this situation is and understands which direction is away from the edge.
We NEED this man running our country NOW! It is easy to see that he has the insight to understand all the implications of what is going on in Pakistan. What is going on there right now is much more important to world security than what is going on in Iran or Iraq. What was done in Iraq is done. The United States made some very serious mistakes that both the United States and Iraq will be paying for for a very long time. We can not afford to make the same kinds of mistakes when it comes to Pakistan. This is not the time for a President who has "hope" but no experience. This is not the time for a President who wants to divide the country. This is not the time for a President who sticks her/his finger in the air to find out which way the wind is blowing at the moment before making a decision. This is a time for a President who has the experience to be able to make sense of what is happening and the knowledge to set our country on the right course. We need Senator Dodd now! And I am going to do everything in my power to make sure it happens! Let's all get behind Chris Dodd and work as hard as we can to make him our next President!
Who the hell is Shimir Dodd?
Had you Americans leave Pakistan the region will be at peace. Anywhere America put its hands there is murder and mayhem. Can any scholar prove me wrong I will demand that Bill Gates award the US5m
