Here's the video of Senator Dodd talking at the Caucus for Results tour rally in Des Moines, at our campaign headquarters. The event was moved partially inside as snow fell outside - you can see it coming down behind Senator Dodd while he speaks. Dodd was introduced by his wife Jackie, International Association of Fire Fighters President Harold Schaitberger, and John Tekippe, President of IAFF Local #4 in Des Moines.

Although I am now living in California, Iowa has a special place in my heart. I wish I could participate in the caucus and give my support early on, but I will have to wait a few more weeks for the California primary. The schedule of the selection process is a bit unfair! I hope it will not be a "done deal" by then, because Chris Dodd is making a lot of good choices in his personal stand against the worst aspects of the Bush administration, while still keeping a positive attitude about the possibilities for the future of the USA and the world. His real experience in politics is very valuable, but what I really hear in this speech (and the others that I have heard recently) is deep honesty and principled values.
