This is the full video from my interview with Mark Klein, the AT&T whistleblower who revealed the existence of secret NSA rooms at AT&T facilities that were being used to divert internet traffic. The video we posted yesterday pulled quotes from Klein in this interview.

What are we doing in this country? We seem to have more big brother than the Russian communists ever hoped for. What is wrong with this picture? I'm sick to death of the fear mongers, including this administration. Was it Herman Goering who said that to control a population, one had only to create an atmosphere of fear?
An ignorant and uncaring democratic populace yawns at their televisions while their last liberties drift away. Truly as sad as is disgusting.
It seems to me that granting immunity to the telco's contradicts the Constitution. Since our representatives have sworn to uphold the Constitution, wouldn't they be violating their oath if they supported immunity?
This seems an important point: the splitter was NOT installed on the intercontinental cables, which would catch int'l traffic, but in a place (along with maybe 27 other places?) in San Francisco that would catch purely domestic traffic as well. That goes to the government's intent, which seems to be to spy domestically as well as internationally.
The other important point: these companies (like AT&T) have years of experience in wiretapping. They are not babes in the woods. They KNOW what is illegal.
OK. I want my country back.
An isolated incident in San Fransisco...? We could trust that our good government- of the people, for the people- have ignored all domestic activity not related to international communication and have likewise filtered domestic activity outside of select keywords.
The amount of information collected from just that one location must be staggering. There must have been some kind of filtering in place.
Butt-- the fact that it was done without our (the honest and hard working citizens of the United States of America) knowledge is, at least, most certainly a violation of our privacy.
Intelligence is a vital part of security. We shouldn't have a problem with that. I don't. I have nothing to hide. But i sure would like to know if someone is making it a point to watch what i'm doing.
If only our good government would have made it known that they were snooping on us.
That would have made it more difficult for the [enemy], as they would also know they would also be snooped upon.
Butt what do i know about intelligence...
Mark Klein is a hero. There aren't many with true integrity anymore in this society of sheep.
I hope the poor guy lives to testify in court.
It's but, but whatever. "An ignorant and uncaring democratic populace yawns at their televisions while their last liberties drift away. Truly as sad as is disgusting." You said it perfectly. How terrible to just watch. Do something!
