On the heels of two new television ads highlighting his record of results for American families, Presidential candidate Chris Dodd will return to Iowa November 4th through 6th. He will attend a house party in Cedar Rapids and a forum at Iowa State University in Ames.
He will also participate in a discussion on the rule of law and foreign policy, joined by Lt. Cmdr. (Ret.) Charles Swift, former counsel for Salim Ahmed Hamdan, whose case – Hamdan v. Rumsfeld – led the Supreme Court to strike down the authority of Bush Administration-created military tribunals intended to try detainees at Guantanamo Bay and to declare those tribunals in violation of the Geneva Conventions. That discussion will be hosted by the Iowa City Foreign Relations Council.
All events are open to the press.
