Manchester, NH - U.S. Senator and Presidential candidate Chris Dodd's New Hampshire campaign announced today that Richard Ingram, former President of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, has endorsed Chris Dodd for President. Ingram will serve as a Rockingham County Co-Chair for Dodd's New Hampshire campaign.
"Chris Dodd stands out in a field of exceptional candidates," said Ingram. "We need leadership from our next President that will transform America, and Senator Dodd has a proven record of offering bold leadership throughout his career. His achievements over three decades of national service demonstrate his forward thinking vision and the skills and perseverance required to lead us toward real change. His accomplishments prove he can forge relationships that make better days not just possible, but inevitable. I look forward to doing all I can to spread his message of proven leadership when it matters most to the people of New Hampshire."
Ingram has a long career of civil and non-profit service in the Greater Portsmouth community. He recently stepped down as President of the Chamber of Commerce, a position he held since 2004, to become the Executive Director of the Housing Partnership in Portsmouth. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director of the Seacoast Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2001 until 2004.
"Dick Ingram is someone who understands public service, and like Senator Dodd, has dedicated his life to helping others," said Dodd New Hampshire Chairman Joe Keefe. "Dick understands that our next President needs to be a proven leader who can restore America's standing both at home and abroad. He will play a key role on Dodd's campaign as Rockingham County Co-Chair and I know Senator Dodd and his supporters are excited and honored to have his support."
Dodd returns to New Hampshire over Labor Day weekend for his 14th visit to the Granite State this year.
