I was unable to watch Senator Dodd live day. However, I did watch the video posted on this website. It stops working about 80-85% into the speech. Anyone else have that problem? Thankfully I was able to read the remaining text of the speech...

"Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." JFK

Will you sell your beliefs for money? Or will you be over thirty and trusted?

Will you give another speech about our iPods and cell phones? While our concerns lie with our siblings and friends dying in a war that does not pertain to us.

Will you continue to support how the government feels about our veterans? Or will you free our friends and family from disgrace; not of dying in battle, but left to fester from fungus in a home side hospital?

Will you sign the Patriot Act for the third time while those who got you elected blatantly disagree with such a violation of privacy? Or will you realize that fliers do not fly to people’s mail boxes and doors do not knock on themselves?

Will you support a man who has experienced the atrocities of war and yet betrays every enlisted man and woman (our families) by sending them to the same fate? Or will you give your best friend from High School's children a chance to live past 21?

We have joined the Peace Corps. We have passed out food to the needy. We have worked two jobs to continue our education because our families cannot afford these types of luxuries yet alone their mortgage. We have volunteered numerous hours to your campaigns, for elections we could not even participate in. We have inspired millions to vote.

Now we ask what can you do for your country?

Will you continue to let our nation be dominated by a party that even Goldwater himself began to veer from? Or will continue the legacy of a party that was the voice of the unheard and the underprivileged?
