Jackie Clegg Dodd made her first visit of the campaign to Nevada this weekend - and the Utah native felt right at home in the West. Saturday night Jackie regaled attendees at a dutch-oven cookout (which included a rodeo competition by members of the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association (PAFRA)) with stories of her family's horses, her fondness for the West, and her understanding of the challenges facing the brave men and women who serve our country in uniform.
After church on Sunday morning Jackie met with Democratic activists at Metro Pizza and shared Senator Dodd's vision for restoring America's global standing and assured attendees that the first order of business in the Dodd administration will be restoring our Constitution.
Jackie also met with a group of active Seniors residing in a Las Vegas retirement community to discuss how to reform health care and let voters know that as President, Chris Dodd will be ready to lead from Day 1.
An attendee Jackie visited with Sunday summed up the impression Jackie left on Nevada Democrats without equivocation, "she will make a great First Lady."
