Ted Kennedy Jr. campaigned for Democratic presidential hopeful and Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd on Tuesday, calling him the most experienced candidate in the race for the White House.
Kennedy, a human rights advocate, is the eldest son of Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy. His brother, Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy, has also pledged his support for Dodd.
Kennedy Jr. said that Dodd will be "able to lead this country from Day One."
"My brother and I have known Chris Dodd our whole lives, and we are proud to be supporting the most qualified leader in this race, with the conviction and the experience to meet the challenges facing our country today," he said in a statement.
