Dodd Addresses Challenges Facing The American Education System

Senator Chris Dodd addresses the educational challenges the United States faces in the near future. "Global competition," he says, "is obviously something that is here. The children of Columbia and Charleston and Greenville and Spartenburg, the children of Hartford and Bridgeport and New London, Connecticut are not going to be competing with each other."
"They are going to be competing with children in Beijing and Shanghai, in Johannesburg and Sydney and Moscow. The sooner we recognize this, the more important it will be and the better it will be for all of us."
