"I'd try to restore the constitutional rights in our country. This administration has done great damage to them. I would do that in the first day, I wouldn't wait 100 days."
NH Debate Weekend
From Sunday's debate:
Here's a little bit of video of Senator Dodd preparing for his speech Saturday night at the Iowa Democratic Party's Hall of Fame dinner. I'd never seen a Senator write a speech before, nor knew the critical role that coffee and Twizzlers play in the creative process.
No script. No plot. Just Dodd.

Here's a clip of Senator Dodd getting interviewed by CNN's Anderson Cooper following last night's debate:
Joshua Levy of techPresident breaks some big news about our debate war room live stream:
Dodd is also pioneering the use of live video streams: according to Ustream.tv, with almost 10,000 views, Dodd's live-streaming of his New Hampshire debate war room yesterday was the second-most streamed event in Internet history, trailing the MTV Video Music Awards.Check out Senator Dodd's DailyKos diary that became the home to much of our updates and content from yesterday's debate. We pulled many of our questions for the live chat from the Senator from this thread and a great discussion broke out around the chat, debate, and the issues Democrats should be talking about. Elwood of Blue Hampshire thinks Senator Dodd's debate answers "were solid, though, and his "restore the Constitution" answer for priorities will play well [in New Hampshire]." Scarecrow of FireDogLake thinks Dodd "did well" in the time he was given to speak. Gabe of CT Local Politics reports on the Dodd campaign's visibility efforts:
Unexpectedly (to me at least), Dodd won the debate visibility by a mile. I was expecting the Dodd volunteers to be scrappy, energetic, and outnumbered. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. There were more Dodd supporters than for any other candidate and they outshouted the other supporters by a wide margin.Spazeboy was also in New Hampshire yesterday and has a great photo compilation of the Dodd visibility efforts posted on My Left Nutmeg. [Update: Through the comments on this thread, I've learned that Spazeboy has video too -- go watch! Jeff Feldman of Frameshop asks tough questions about the structure of the debate and problems of how the visuals of the stage were set up to highlight some candidates more prominently than others. Ben Smith of The Politico puts it directly, "When Chris Dodd is president, CNN will have a lot of making up to do."
