One of the fun things about the River to River Tour of Iowa was getting to spend a lot of time talking with Senator Dodd between stops. On Friday we were traveling between Fort Dodge and Storm Lake. In the video below, Senator Dodd tells us about his first congressional race for the CT-2nd in 1974 - from his TV ads to rallying support in Democratic town committees to his budget of $100,000, which at the time was one of the biggest in the country. My how the times have changed.
