The Nashua Dodd Squad Goes Back to School

Hi, my name is Brian Bailey and I’m a field organizer here in Nashua. I’m
having a go at the blog this week so I can talk about a great experience I
had in Wilton last Monday.

Last week, I spoke to a Contemporary Issues class at the Wilton-Lyndeborogh
Cooperative High School. I spoke to the group of interested seniors about
the political process and what it’s like to work on a presidential campaign.
The discussion was driven by questions posed by the students and their
teacher. I tried to stress to the students the importance of getting
involved in the process and remaining interested. The young people in New
Hampshire are privy to a great number of opportunities during primary
season. I really enjoyed speaking with the students and hopefully I sparked
their curiosity even more. They have an open invitation to come in and work
with our staff and learn first hand what New Hampshire politics are all
about.

This week, the Dodd Squad in Nashua will be very busy! We hope to see some
of you at the Milford Pumpkin Festival and the Firefest in Nashua.

Remember, we run nightly phone banks, and canvass every weekend. If you are
interested in joining us any night this week or this weekend, please give
Nick a call at 603-886-DODD.

Greetings from Main Street, Nashua

My name is Nick Williams and I am the Nashua Regional Field Director. It's
my pleasure to give you a weekly peek into our Nashua operation. In our
Nashua office, as well as our statewide campaign, we pride ourselves in
running a traditional grassroots campaign.

Senator Dodd has visited the Nashua area several times. In fact many of this
campaign's most important events have taken place in our region. Senator
Dodd's National Service Plan was unveiled on the steps of Nashua City Hall,
at the very spot where President John F. Kennedy made his first speech as a
candidate for the Democratic Nomination.

The Nashua region was recently rocked by the Dodd Squad during the Milford
Labor Day Parade. Senator Dodd and his family participated in the parade
with over a hundred white haired (dyed and natural) Dodd Squad members.

For our first Nashua update I would like to introduce you to Team Nashua. I
am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I graduated from Carthage College in 2003
and have been involved in politics and campaigns since then. I moved up to
New Hampshire in June and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Team Nashua has two other great and energetic people. Kelley Stieh is no
stranger to New Hampshire; she recently graduated from Franklin Peirce
University. She has volunteered on campaigns throughout the state and worked
with Rock the Vote in 2004.

Brian Bailey
is a recent graduate of Tufts University, where he was a 4 year
letterman on Tufts' Hockey team. Brian has volunteered on campaigns before
and is more than ready for the long hours that we put in at our Nashua office.

We also want to thank State Representative Mike O'Brien, the Nashua Co-Chair
of Chris Dodd for President. Thanks to Mike and his family's efforts, we
have been able to get our office and our Nashua regional organization up and
running.
